Happy August, friends! The first day of Fall is approaching, and I don’t know about you, but I am overjoyed about the change in weather! Fall is my favorite season of all, as I am sure it is for many of you.
For today’s blog post, we have a very exciting announcement!
On Saturday, August 5th, we celebrated Alrich’s 2nd birthday! He had an absolutely adorable birthday, complete with a numbers and letters theme since he loves alphabets and numbers and can tell you what each one is and their order already!
This year, we decided to include everyone in the birthday gift with contributions given prior to the party and then using that budget to choose his big gifts. He received a swing set, water table, kitchen playset with food, playhouse, and an outdoor climbing set with a slide ready to play with that day! What little boy wouldn’t love that?!? We also didn’t want to do a ton of sweets and cake for him yet but he loves fruit so we made a “fruit cake”.
We also had a big surprise, as well. When Alrich opened the oven to his kitchen playset, there was a “bun in the oven.” Alrich is going to be a big brother!! It was quite the surprise for us and we had only found out two days prior to the party so it was a fun last minute surprise for EVERYONE!
